Bay County’s Public Transit System

COVID-19 Policies & Guidelines

Working to Keep Your Transportation System Safe

Our riders’ safety has always been our top priority, which is why we have laid out basic policies and guidelines to do our part in helping stop the spread of COVID-19.

While onboard or waiting to ride our buses, please observe the following rules and note that we have put additional measures in place for the health and safety of our riders and drivers.

Riders are not required to wear a mask on the bus, but masks are encouraged.

We encourage riders to practice safe social distancing that allows for a 6-foot space between riders when possible.

Please sanitize your hands before and after your ride. We are in the process of installing hand sanitizers on each bus for your convenience.

We have implemented increased cleaning procedures on our vehicles, and we ask that you help us to keep vehicles clean by removing all belongings and trash when you exit the bus.

Onboard air purifiers have been added to every one of our buses to help ensure you’re always breathing safe, clean air. Breathe easy knowing we’re taking precautions to keep our riders healthy.

We ask that you do not board the bus if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or if you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

We are proud to have provided Bay County with continued service throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and we appreciate your assistance with making Bayway a safe transportation option for our community. For any further questions involving COVID-19, please feel free to contact us.
